Family Donates $1 Million

Last month, the Bill and Joanne Stock Foundation donated $1 million to Glens Falls Hospital to benefit the renovation of The Snuggery.

Fastrac Eyes Binley Site

Fastrac, a convenience store and gas station company, has proposed opening two new stores in Queensbury, one of which would be located at the current site of Binley Florist & Garden Center.

Marking the Moment: The Art of Allen Blagden
Today until Sun, Feb 26, 2017 | 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Allen Blagden, a distinguished American contemporary realist painter, is renowned for his paintings of birds, animals, and people, as well as the landscapes of New England and the Adirondacks. Blagden's painting style has often been compared to that of Winslow Homer and Andrew Wyeth. The exhibition includes approximately 50 works, mostly watercolors, which survey his distinguished career. It coincides with the publication of a new book on the painter by publisher David R. Godine with an essay by Princeton professor emeritus John Wilmerding. Curated by Caroline Welsh, art historian and director emerita of Adirondack Museum.

Finding the Light: Candlemaking 101 with Sarah Rodman
