When was the last time you went ice skating? This classic winter activity just can't be beat! Get out your skates (or rent a pair) and get out on the ice this season in the Glens Falls region. Whether you're looking for an indoor arena or a frozen pond, there is an ice skating rink that's perfect for you.

Please note: It's imperative to check with individual establishments for any changes with hours, pricing, or COVID restrictions. Outdoor ice rinks are weather dependent, and some rinks occasionally close for maintenance.

Winter Realms Ice Skating Rink

Located at Charles R. Wood Park, individuals have a chance to immerse themselves in the beauty of winter. There is a $9 entry fee for ice skating which is separate from the fee for Winter Realms. If needed, rental skates will be provided at no cost with your ice skating entry fee. If ordering tickets online for Winter Realms, there will be an option to add the ice skating fee to your ticket.

Things to Know:

  • Time slot entrances start every 30 minutes
  • Only 40 people are allowed per time slot
  • Guests are allowed to skate as long as they'd like (except for when the ice needs clearing between 8 to 8:30 pm)
  • Once exiting the rink, re-entry will not be allowed
  • Assists are available to anyone new to skating at no extra cost
  • Guests can skate whenever they please during their visit, space permitting
  • There will be a comfy spectator viewing area including picnic tables & warming stations
  • Snow or other weather related events could prevent the rink from opening
  • Jumps, hockey sticks/pucks, kicking/chipping holes are not permitted
  • This attraction wraps up for the season on February 25, 2024
