Glens Falls to celebrate 75 years of Batman

Huge Batman fan? Then look no further! This year is the 75th anniversary of the Batman, and there is no better way to show your appreciation than demonstrating your artwork in honor of Batman.

The Folklife Gallery at Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls is calling for YOUR submissions of original Batman related art. So break out your pencils, crayons, pastels, paint brushes, or whatever medium you want (more details below). This is a perfect way to show off your art skills to other members of the Batman universe. Art will be displayed July 21-25, 2014 in the Folklife Gallery at Crandall Public Library.

That is not all!
Wednesday 23rd July is the OFFICIAL BATMAN DAY and there will be plenty of costumes, games, activities, cartoons, FREE GIVEAWAYS and memorabilia displays to appreciate Batman and celebrate his 75th anniversary. This will be held in the Folklife Gallery at Crandall Public Library.


There are two categories for art: 
  • Birth to age 12
  • Age 13+

Requirements for art to be submitted: 
  • All family-friendly submissions will be included
  • Any medium, but no bigger than 19 x 25 inches
  • No frame needed, must be ready to hang
How to submit your art work:
  • Submit to the Library at the Reference Desk (off City Park) or Children's Department Desk
  • Mailed to: The Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library, 251 Glen Street, Glens Falls NY, 12801
  • Must be received by Friday July 18th, 2014 at 4pm
  • Submission form must be attached to the back of the work
