Grab your palettes, easels, and brushes to get your imagination juices flowing for the FIRST Annual Paint Out in Glens Falls!
Artists of all levels are invited to bring their arts supplies and talent to the city-wide Paint Out – Glens Falls on August 9, 2014 from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Artists ranging from professionals to beginners are welcome to set up their art-creating work space anywhere within Glens Falls, drawing al fresco inspiration from their surroundings!
Don’t have a clue where to paint? Try setting up your canvas outside one of the several locations who have been gracious enough to welcome painters to create their masterpieces outside their locations, including The Chapman Historical Museum, The Shirt Factory, and The Wood Theater (just to name a few).
Artists are also encouraged to give back to the community by participating in a charitable Pop-Up Show at The Shirt Factory’s LocalFest event on Saturday, September 6 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Paintings will be hung for display and sold with half of the profits going back to the artists and the other half to The Open Door’s Code Blue Emergency Winter Shelter and Homeless Shelter projects funds.
