Salvation Army Calls For Donations

user-pic
The Greater Glens Falls Salvation Army, which serves Warren, Washington, and Saratoga counties, is down on donations this year while need has increased. Seasonal donations, red kettle income, and direct mail donations are down nearly $37K from 2012 while federal funding for the Salvation Army has also decreased.
The Greater Glens Falls Salvation Army is asking for donations via their website. All donations made this season will contribute to a $5K goal. If the team successfully raises $5K in donations, an anonymous donor will match $2,500.

This Thanksgiving, the center fed an additional 148 people compared to last year, indicating increased need in the greater Glens Falls region. They estimate that almost 10,000 Christmas meals and food baskets will be distributed this year.

The Red Kettle campaign runs through Christmas Eve, so any interested donors are urged to contribute soon. Donate online, and don't hesitate to drop a few coins into the next red kettle you pass!
