These days, everyone is trying to "think global, buy local," when it comes to food. But why not extend this practice to art? The historic Shirt Factory already has done this for years, and now they are sharing this with the community in the first ever LocalFest!
That's right! The Shirt Factory is home to over 70 local artists and artisans, and the inagural LocalFest will celebrate their creations. The fall festival will take place September 8th, and promises to become a community favorite.
There will be an open house to showcase the rich offerings of the artists, but that's not all the day will include! There will be presentations on the history of the building, book readings by local authors, and local food vendors!
Bring the kids along for art activities and educational experiences geared especially towards them.
You can be a part of LocalFest as well. The first annual festival is looking for more sponsors and vendors to be a part of this special event.
Sounds amazing, right? What part of LocalFest are you most looking forward to?
