We have a new local foodie blog on GlensFallsRegion.com, called Glens Falls Gourmet! Five local ladies that eat lunch together a couple times a week have decided to start a contributor blog to share their favorite recipes, cooking tips, and local eateries!

In their first post, the Glens Falls Gourmet ladies shared some of their favorite Super Bowl party recipes! All five contributors suggested a different recipe, and they all look great! Chicken Wing Dip, Cheesy Chicken and Artichoke Bites, Spicy Guacamole Dip, Savory Pulled Pork, and Flan for dessert! Wow, I wish the party that I went to had food like that!
Who are the contributors?
Maura Bannon practically grew up in the kitchen, and to this day her family gets together every Sunday for a home-cooked meal. Her forte is Italian food, especially homemade pasta. You should try her Gnocchi!
Deb Castellucci grew up in the area, and is a bit of an expert when it comes to entertaining. Having some company over? Deb can tell you how to make sure that they leave full and satisfied! Searching for a new place to grab lunch? Look no further.
Jennifer McDonald is a foodie from Saratoga Springs, and always looks forward to trying something new! As a kid, her parents would bribe her into trying dishes that she claimed not to like. This has opened her eyes (and her mouth) to all sorts of food over her twenty-something years! Looking to try something new? Jen will surely have some suggestions for you.
Amberly Rundell, who has traveled and resided all over the world, is a huge fan of exotic foods from far-away lands. From Asian and Indian, to Thai and Mexican, she loves it all! Amberly looks forward to sharing a whole new world of tastes, spices and aromas with you!
Mary Longley started cooking out of necessity, and has learned from experience what works, and what doesn't. She has learned to get creative with cooking, and is excited to share her successes with you (and some tips so you won't make the same mistakes that she did).
I personally work in downtown Glens Falls, and I am always looking for new eateries to try on my lunch break, or for dinner. I look forward to getting local updates from this crew, making my job as easy as picking up the phone and placing an order! I just hope I don't turn into Pavlov's Dog and start drooling every time I see a new post!
