The love, the excitement, pride and pure joy was everywhere at the Civic Center tonight.  The bands and cheerleaders set the tone for the celebration as every athlete walked into the Civic Center as a hero to those present. 

One Athlete as he was being cheered into the arena yelled - "this is my second year" - the joy  gave me shivers to share in his moment of pride.

These athletes from NYC were so cool!  They had so much spirit as they joked around for the camera.  

The Glens Falls Knights of Columbus led each of the teams into the arena adding pomp and circumstance, and grandeur to the setting.

The Glens Falls Field Hockey Team was one of many groups of amazing volunteers that cheered the athletes with waving pom poms and screams as the athletes entered the arena.

There is a new fitness studio on Washington Street in Glens Falls that works to improve the health of our planet as well as the health of their members. Core utilizes technology that was developed by The Green Revolution, which converts energy created by exercise bikes into electricity that helps to power the building. The local studio is the first in upstate New York to install the inverters on their exercise equipment.

Whether you drive past South Street on your way to work, or you frequent the area for the nightlife scene, you have undoubtedly noticed the construction that is going on. It can be annoying at times (I had to detour to get to work today) but when the construction is complete, South Street's face lift will be a great improvement to the city of Glens Falls.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit, the largest quick serve barbecue restaurant in the country has opened a new location in Queensbury. Known for their signature meats which are smoked on location every night, Dickey's will bring some good, Texas style barbecue to the area.
