Hey foodie friends! Another great weekend in Glens Falls under our belts. Hoping we won't need bigger belts after the feast we had last night.
The rotisserie that I bought to compliment our new grill is working out great. This may be our new favorite way to cook large cuts of meat.
This weekend was a beef sirloin tip roast! We did sides of tender, white, grilled asparagus with Dijon mustard vinaigrette, roasted baby potatoes and an easy Italian marinated tomato/tuna summer salad over mixed greens!
Hey foodie friends! This recipe is from my long time friend Bob Ardolino. I remember when his wife was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. We had no idea what gluten free cooking was all about.
We were so worried about what she would not be able to eat, we lost focus for a bit on all the great things that are delicious and gluten free.
Over the years Bob has managed to come up with tons of delicious, gluten free recipes to make for Michele. Yes, Michele and I are very luck women. Our husbands love to cook for us!
Thanks for sharing this with us Bob. Keep your pictures coming!
Hey foodie friends! I'm looking for some input from you all.
I recently went out to eat at a place I enjoy very much. I had a great meal. The service was great. My experience was wonderful!
The reason I was compelled to post was the woman at the next table who was trying to order and receive a gluten free meal. The kind server did not know what gluten free is and kept bringing food that had to be sent back because it had ingredients containing gluten. I thought WOW, anyone who owns, cooks at or serves food in a restaurant needs to be aware of the importance of requests for gluten free food! Food allergies in general really.
Hi there foodie friends! This week we went on a quest to find a healthier potato salad recipe. Gus found a video Bobby Flay from the Food Network had posted and it looked really amazing, so we decided to try it.
Fresh herbs from the garden, organic honey from Uncle Pat's Farm, fresh veggies and a little feta cheese and we were good to go!
Hey foodie friends! Can you believe that Gus whipped this dish up in our suite during our Fort Lauderdale vacation after his day of deep see fishing?
He landed a huge wahoo and a beautiful mahi mahi! Seafood fresh from the sea does not smell "fishy", so he was able to prepare it in our suite without offending anyone. It was a great night on the balcony enjoying a drink (or 2) and some great seafood straight from the sea!
