close-shot.jpgLooks like this is on the menu for Sunday dinner this week. We were looking for a good make ahead meal that we could just pop in the oven right before dinner time. This mac & cheese recipe is a must have. I did some research and tried a few and this recipe is my favorite to date. 

I like to toss in some cubed ham before topping with toasted bread crumbs & baking. 

This is my  "go to" mac & cheese recipe! I may add roasted cauliflower this time. 
WP_001114.jpgThis was fun to make and so delicious! It was basically a French onion soup reduction with shaved roast beef and cheese grilled on some crusty bread. 

If you have followed me at all, you know that I am all about comfort foods. The time of year dictates what I consider to be comfort food. This time of year (for me) calls for soups, stews, pasta dishes and MELTS!
Thumbnail image for WP_001058.jpgPhew! This was a labor of love. We honestly plan a day around chillin' and cooking spaghetti & meatballs. 

Some things are just better when you take the time and enjoy the process (and a glass or two of wine). 

This really is an easy meal, but it's just better when it has a chance to cook slow to let the flavors develop. 

Light a fire, open a bottle of wine and enjoy. It's SO worth it!

Hey foodie friends! This week I wanted to share a quick and easy recipe for spare ribs that I got from a friend. 

Football season is here and comfort food season is approaching. 

Spare ribs are great to make for a football party or a family dinner! I'm definitely adding this recipe to our list of Touchdown Worthy Bites!

Put the ingredients together in your crock pot the night before. Pop it in in the fridge, so all you have to do in the morning is take it out and turn it on low for the day. 

Ellen cooked these for 8 hours on low.

Hey foodie friends! Another great weekend in Glens Falls under our belts. Hoping we won't need bigger belts after the feast we had last night. 

The rotisserie that I bought to compliment our new grill is working out great. This may be our new favorite way to cook large cuts of meat. 

This weekend was a beef sirloin tip roast! We did sides of tender, white, grilled asparagus with Dijon mustard vinaigrette, roasted baby potatoes and an easy Italian marinated tomato/tuna summer salad over mixed greens!
