This weekend at City Park in Glens Falls we will be celebrating the 20th birthday of the Taste Of The North Country! Last weekend inspired me to cook comfort foods for the weekend, this weekend is sure to inspire me to eat!
Happy Birthday Taste Of The North Country!

This event is a foodie's dream! There are over 40 restaurants set to participate this year. The event is very affordable at only $5.00 for admission (under 18 free) plus the cost of however many food coupons you choose to purchase. Food samples are priced anywhere from $.50 to $4.00 and are paid for in food coupons.
You'll find restaurants offering samples of chowders, pulled pork, pastas, desserts and so much more! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Taste Of The North Country is an awesome event put on by the Glens Falls Kiwanis and all proceeds go to supporting children all over the world.
Check it out this weekend. I'm planning to take notes, so I can build my list of area restaurants I'd like to try. With that many participants we are bound to find some hidden gems. Check out the video from last year's Taste Of The North Country to get an idea of what to expect. Check in with us next week. We would love to hear your comments! You can post photos on our Facebook page. We'll post the winning photos here in our follow up post.

Mary Longley Beside cooking being my middle name, most people call me Mary. My cooking experience started out of necessity, and with lots of successes and not so successful gourmet delights, I learned to be a little creative with some foods and found things that stay consistently on my list. Spending time in the kitchen is therapy for me and entertaining to share the successes. I look forward to sharing some of my creativity with everyone.
