Glens Falls Gourmet

April 2012 Archives

IMAG0514.jpgLast Friday, my fellow foodies and I had the opportunity to review a new restaurant in Hudson Falls called the Gavel Grille. I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised.

We started off with some nice big Sangrias. Something about wine and fresh fruit on a sunny day just tastes sooo good.
asparagus-artichoke-salad.gifThis is a great & refreshing salad that I found online and just had to try it! I was just speaking to someone today about posting more gluten-free recipes and this one popped into mind. I added a little fresh mozzerella to mine and it was delicious! It's an impressive looking and easy to make dish that can be served as an appetizer, salad or even as the vegetable course for your main dish! Enjoy!
Looking for a healthier solution to pizza on a Friday night? Try this simple pizza on a tortilla recipe that you can make in under 20 minutes!

E52E3BCF-ECCA-4471-A5E6-FD52449ECBC0.jpegMy husband Gus was lucky enough to catch enough fish in Key Largo to bring some home to enjoy and to share! Our good friend and fellow blogger Mr. "Do The Dacks" was a logical choice of people to share some of Gus' fresh catch with! As it turns out, not only does Scott, hike, fish and write an amazing blog... the man can cook too! Thanks for sharing!
