bowl-chili.jpgYou would think a request for a new chili recipe would be an easy one. Our good friend Mary from Lumberjack Pass requested a new chili recipe a while back. I thought no problem, I'll get right on that! Well, as it turns out, I don't really use a recipe. I grab the basic ingredients and the rest is just building that great chili flavor. In my opinion (which I'm quite sure is a fact), the key to a great chili is cooking it low and slow... In my house, making chili, stew & soups is a marathon, not a sprint! We have a great time spending the day in the kitchen with some sporting event or cooking show on TV and a good bottle of wine or a cold beer. Good times! 
I used to buy the pre-made seafood stuffed mushrooms in the grocery store's fresh seafood area. I decided to try to make my own version of this recipe and researched a few recipes online and came up with this creation. You can make this entree in about 15-20 minutes and it was really delicious and filling! Enjoy! ~ Jen

gus-plated-fish.jpgSay that ten times fast! I was happy to receive this submission from a Glens Falls Gourmet fan today! By fan I mean my husband Gus who is fishing in Key Largo this week, but he is a fan and fellow foodie!

restaurant-week.pngHappy spring! It actually feels like we completely skipped winter! At the risk of jinxing us all, I am getting my grill ready and scoping out all the Glens Falls area spring events that are happening now or coming soon!

Spicy Curry Shrimp

The other night I wanted to have shrimp and looked for a recipe, I knew I wanted coriander and cumin (Toasted is the best) incorporated in this. Not finding what I wanted I put together this great combination of flavors!

final-plate2.jpgWith spring quickly approaching, I am getting my comfort food fix in before I hit grilling season full force! This is a great & easy pasta dinner. I like to do a few dishes like this over the weekend, so I have lunches for the week! 

Start your salted pasta water right away! The rest doesn't take long at all to put together!
I would eat Italian food every night if I could. I am always looking for new and delicious ways to add veggies to pasta dishes. I came across this recipe and it was right up my alley and wanted to share it with my fellow foodies! Enjoy ~ Jennifer


talapia-rice-zuccini.jpgThis is a light and flavorful meal that is quite easy to make. I used tilapia because the price was right this week. Any similar filet will do just as well.  

When I first started cooking, I had a terrible time making rice. I'm not sure why that was, but it just never came out right. I finally have a technique down that works great! I can't remember the last time I messed up the rice. Let me know if it works for you!
