bands-beans-people.pngHey foodie friends! The final weekend of the Lake George Winter Carnival is behind us. It's time to start thinking spring! One annual event that really gets me feeling spring fever is Bands 'N Beans at Roaring Brook Ranch in Lake George

Bands 'N Beans is a great local event that combines 2 of my favorite things; great live music from numerous local bands and a chili cook off!
table-food.jpgHey foodie friends! One of my favorite events of the year is Super Bowl Sunday! short of having Super Bowl Tickets, there is nothing I like more than going to parties on Super Bowl Sunday or having one of my own. Time to round up some of our favorite recipes and get ready for the big game!
close-shot.jpgLooks like this is on the menu for Sunday dinner this week. We were looking for a good make ahead meal that we could just pop in the oven right before dinner time. This mac & cheese recipe is a must have. I did some research and tried a few and this recipe is my favorite to date.

I like to toss in some cubed ham before topping with toasted bread crumbs & baking.

This is my  "go to" mac & cheese recipe! I may add roasted cauliflower this time.

Last week I had the pleasure of dining at Creo Restaurant in Albany NY.

The food was so amazing that I had to share with you all!

Here's what we had:

We started off with Scallop Ceviche, a citrus marinated sea scallop with cucumber, cilantro and chili oil with a side of mashed potatoes.

This was light, airy and extremely flavorful. This might have been the
best scallop I've ever had!

WP_001114.jpgThis was fun to make and so delicious! It was basically a French onion soup reduction with shaved roast beef and cheese grilled on some crusty bread.

If you have followed me at all, you know that I am all about comfort foods. The time of year dictates what I consider to be comfort food. This time of year (for me) calls for soups, stews, pasta dishes and MELTS!
