As part of Hometown Holidays, Friday, December 6th downtown Glens Falls businesses will have refreshments and festive fun and the streets will be filled with families enjoying street entertainers -- like carolers, reindeer, and carriage rides.

The Tree Lighting kicks off the evening at 5:30 pm with Santa!

What to expect after the tree lighting:

In addition to the tree lighting and Santa at the Glens Falls National Bank, the Hometown Holiday offers a cornucopia of free holiday centered activities, sights, sounds and tastes throughout the downtown area.

The Collaborative will provide maps at the tree lighting and in downtown shops showing the locations for each of these incredible holiday attractions. Or people can stop by the “Hometown Holiday Headquarters” for their maps.

Located next door to the Wood Theater, the Hometown Holiday Headquarters will offer a place to warm up, enjoy hot chocolate and eggnog donated by Stewart’s Shops, take part in art projects, entertainment, learn more about The Collaborative, drop off canned goods for the St Marty’s Food Pantry, and much more.  Outside the Headquarters Downtown will be bustling with activity!

This year, we invite you to Trek to the Track for an evening of great fun, fanfare and fundraising. The stakes are high, and we've only just rounded the Clubhouse Turn. Included in the festivities are dining, dancing, live and silent auctions, 'Dicey Wooden Horse Racing', a 'fabulous' hat contest, 'horse auction', signature brewpub fresh ales sampling from sponsor Davidson Brothers of Glens Falls and hand crafted spirits tasting from sponsor Lake George Distilling Co. ADK's assortment of silent auction items - gear, trips, services, one-of-a-kind offerings and priceless ADK memorabilia - will overtake previous years? and winners of ADK's annual raffle will be drawn, so everybody has a stake in it. Andy Pratt - DJ, Auctioneer, ADK Member, ididarider! and 46er will keep us on 'track' throughout the evening. The proceeds from ADK's largest annual fundraising event will support ADK C.A.R.E.S "across the board" - wilderness protection initiatives that advocate for greater public access to spectacular recreational resources while protecting them for those that follow.
