The Glens Falls Collaborative plans its annual Wing Fest on Saturday, April 29, from noon to 3 p.m. in Downtown Glens Falls. The event is a competition between restaurants for the best wings.

Tasting is from noon to 3 p.m. and an awards ceremony at the bandstand in City Park will close out the event.

Tickets are $1 each, and the number of tickets to taste varies by restaurant.

The event is on Glen, Ridge and Maple Streets.

There are two trophies up for grabs: the Judge’s Choice, and the People’s choice. Judges will taste each entry, and for the public to vote, they must taste from at least eight different restaurants.

New this year: T-shirts featuring Henrietta, the chicken depicted in the trophy created by artist Phyllis Brown. The shirt design is created by Rodney Bentley, and printed locally by Wombat Graphics. They come free with a $20 donation to the Arts Trail, a new downtown project connecting 10 arts destinations within the City of Glens Falls. Donations can be made at Samantha’s Cafe at 193 Glen Street in Downtown Glens Falls ON SALE NOW! They will also be for sale at the ticket tables during Wing Fest.

T-Shirt Presale! Buy your Wing Fest t-shirt before the day of the event and receive 10 free tickets to be used toward your wings at Wing Fest! T-Shirts available at Samantha’s Cafe right now. Your name will be collected and your free tickets can be picked up the day of the event at the ‘Will Call’ at the 21 Bay Street ticket table.
