Glens Falls Tree Lighting Ceremony View other area events

On December 1, 2012 don't miss the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in City Park and holiday events and family fun throughout Downtown Glens Falls starting at 9 AM.

Local businesses will have refreshments and festive fun and downtown will be filled with families enjoying street entertainers -- like saxophone Santa and ice sculpting demos.

There will be trolley rides from 10am - 4pm and Santa Claus arrives at the Glens Falls National Bank at 2pm. See more events going on througout the day »

At 4:30pm by the fireplace at the Queensbury Hotel, Mother Christmas will read a special Christmas Story. Hot Cocoa and cookies will be served.

At 5 PM, along with her 2 elves Mother Christmas will lead the children from the Hotel over to the City Park Bandstand where she will oversee the lighting of the Christmas Tree.

Mother Christmas will join the Glens Falls Symphony Chorus for some caroling. Then at 5:30 pm watch as the tree is lit for the first time and enjoy carols, hot chocolate, and fun!

This event will take place as part of the Hometown Holidays Celebration.
