Where: Spring Street Gallery, Saratoga Springs, NY

Charlie Samuels (who is often referred to as "the 50 year-old skateboarder"), fresh after leading over 3000 skateboarders --"Save the Skatepark" on Facebook -- to victory in getting the town of Saratoga Springs to dig the dirt out the "bowl" at the Saratoga skatepark in November of last year, calls the bowl the "holy grail exercise facility of the skateboard scene in the Capitol District".

The bowl (actually a kidney shaped "skateboard pool") was filled with dirt in 2010, then excavated by the town after a year and a half of senseless "exercise dormancy". It was a sad period for the area skateboarders but they had no doubt they would prevail.

Now Samuels feels that he has inherited the responsibility of the bowl and it's future. He will also show a trailer and teasers (shorts) from his upcoming feature length documentary "VIRGIN BLACKTOP" about a 1970's skateboard team from Nyack NY on Thursday March 29th at the Gallery.
