The Bridge is a 501(c)(3) Charity currently arranging and hosting various social events, advocacy, support, information, & referrals. We are looking for creative, experienced individuals to join our Board and `Volunteer Team` who make it all happen.
MISSION STATEMENT
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment and meeting place for all LGBT individuals and allies
- Empower LGBT individuals and groups to achieve their own goals and expectations
- Expand the publics awareness and understanding of our local LGBT communities
- Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equality for all individuals
- Advocate in defense of human and civil rights secured by law and advocate for the rights of those who do not yet enjoy the full civil and legal rights accorded others
- Lesson neighborhood tensions between the LGBT communities and non-LGBT people and assist in aiding in the elimination of LGBT prejudice and discrimination
- Seek ways to bring relief to the under-served, economically distressed and isoloated LGBT people in northern New York State
