Return the Favor Veterans Program

The Warren County Clerk's Office in collaboration with Warren County Veterans' Services (Denise DiResta, Director) is pleased to introduce a special initiative aimed at recognizing the service and sacrifices made by Warren County's Veterans. Initially begun in Rockland County in 2008 as "Return the Favor", the program has spread to many counties throughout New York State and was endorsed by the Warren County Board of Supervisors on February 18, 2011. Warren County has added the phrase "Thank You For Your Service" to further express our gratitude. As we move forward we invite your participation!

The program offers honorably discharged Veterans discounts at local businesses upon presentation of proof of service in the form of a FAVOR identification card. The identification card issued by the Warren County Clerk at no fee to the Veteran contains valid service information. The discount or offering by a merchant, restaurant or service is of the owner's own choosing and is not determined by Warren County.

Website information and printed program handouts will include a list of participating businesses, their addresses and discounts offered. The list will be updated frequently as our enrollment increases! A window poster identifying the business as a participant in Warren County's "Return the FAVOR...Thank You For Your Service" program will provided to as well. As our efforts become known, we anticipate that each business could realize increased traffic and sales.
