Peter earned a degree in History from Boston University and is a self-taught photographer. He has been photographing weddings and portraits since 2006. Courtney has a Studio Art degree with a concentration in photography from Roberts Wesleyan College. We have been working as a team since 2009.

I was fortunate to get to know Pete and Courtney as friends and fellow photographers before Lindsey and I decided to get married. Aside from their work, they are just plain good folks! As working photographers, we only wanted to hire the most trusted professionals for our wedding. Not only did Pete and Courtney put us at ease when we were anxiously preparing for our ceremony, they were unobtrusive and successful in capturing the feel of the day. We are very happy with our wedding photos and highly recommend PJN!

We worked with Peter and Courtney in October 2011, hiring them to take fall photos of our family. We had such a great time with them; they made the session fun, even though our, then, 14-month-old son, wanted only to chase the ducks in Congress Park. They were easy to chat with over email, responding to messages quickly. The photos turned out to be wonderful!! We wouldn't hesitate to have them take future photos for us, and we highly recommend them to everyone we know.

Pete and Courtney are amazing to work with and talented to boot! I was incredibly stressed before my wedding and they were accommodating and understanding. Never once did they ever add to the stress but rather did what they could to allieviate it. The pictures were by far the most important detail to us because after all was said and done, that's all you've got! And what an amazing job they did, the pictures captured us perfectly. My face gets sore from smiling so much when I look through the albums! Oh and on a side note...do the photo booth! It was so much fun and I sent those pics out with my thank you's as the favors and they were a huge hit! Pete and Courtney are amazing and I recommend them to everyone :-)

I write this review as a bride, but also as a wedding planner - I have worked in the industry for over a decade and really wanted to find the perfect vendors for our wedding in June 2011. I couldn't be happier with our decision to book PJN Photography! Our wedding went by so quickly, but Peter and Courtney were there for every second capturing it. The photographs they took tell the story of our wedding weekend, even the moments I didn't see myself. The photos of my husband getting ready with his guys are some of my favorites - I can tell every emotion in the room, hear the laughter, and know exactly what happened when, without even being there. Definitely invest in extra time with them! After your wedding is over, all you will have besides memories are your rings and photographs - you are worth the investment. If a first look before the ceremony or a day after shoot are possibilities for you - do it. I can't recommend it enough!!! You'll find yourself much more relaxed before the wedding and the photos will capture that split second you first see each other, but without all the other stress and distractions that will happen later, especially if you are like my husband and more on the introverted or shy side. The day after the wedding is a time for you to get another wearing out of that beautiful dress and just have fun, enjoying the glow of your wedding weekend for one more day. It seemed like we were all just good friends on vacation instead of having our photo being taken thousands of times. When we were one on one with them it was very relaxed and when we weren't focused on them, they weren't noticeable, just as we wanted. Every email and message was always professional yet relaxed and the lines of communication were always open when we needed something. It was such a pleasure working with them that we were sad when it was over? and already planning our next portrait session on our drive home :) Until then, we have hundreds of beautifully shot stunning photographs to look back on. Pete is very old-world, both in style and personality. He has a sensitivity in capturing details and moments, in a ruminative and artistic manner. As a colleague in the industry, I called upon Pete to take pictures of myself for my own website. I had a great afternoon just getting to know him, and ended up with some killer images of myself!

PJNPhotography is the best, and that's that. Pete is an excellent photographer and photo editor and so is his wife Courtney, who is part of the team. They're not only personable, professional and easy to be yourself around, but they also have a stellar eye for composition and knack for capturing just the right moment. We used them for our wedding last June and couldn't be happier with the photos and the beautiful album they provided. They understood the emotion, quirks and highlights we wanted to remember and got it all down. We wouldn't choose anyone else.

Pete is Amazing! He has photographed my family many times and has also done some photography work for my business. Anytime I need a photographer I immediately think of Peter. He is a true professional.
