In the year 2001, the Olde Saratoga Brewing Co. began brewing Kingfisher Premium Lager for the USA, joining three other countries worldwide who brew Kingfisher. In England, Kingfisher Premium Lager is the second best selling lager.
Saratoga Brewing Co. in Saratoga Springs, NY and the Mendocino Brewing Co. in Ukiah, CA, have worked together as one company since 1997 bringing you the highest quality, fresh, traditional, all malt craft-brewed lager and ales. Brewing the five different ales established by the Mendocino Brewing Co. in the 1980's, the Olde Saratoga Brewing Co. now brews, bottles and kegs these famous ales for the entire East Coast. In the year 2001, the Olde Saratoga Brewing Co. began brewing Kingfisher Premium Lager for the USA, joining three other countries worldwide who brew Kingfisher. In England, Kingfisher Premium Lager is the second best selling lager. Top on the list, however, is Brewmaster McErlean's new, fresh and delicious Saratoga Lager which is especially brewed for the local region. It is a German/Austrian style Märzenbier, a reddish, coppery color with a full malt character, slightly sweet to the palate, and a lightly hopped finish. It's a great reason to stop in and visit the Tasting Room and have a pint of a truly fresh, locally brewed German style lager. Another reason to stop in would be to take home a growler filled with your favorite brew, or our fresh, homemade, olde time root beer. The Olde Saratoga Brewing Co. also has a great selection of retail merchandise for sale. With a local staff, including four full time brewers, the Olde Saratoga Brewing Co. is the fourth largest brewery in New York State, and is a great place to visit. It is very easy to find (see map above). Tours of the brewery are available on Saturday afternoons and can be arranged by giving us a call at 581-0492. We thank you for your support of local businesses and local brews. Slainte! Salute! Cheers! Tasting room hours are Monday - Friday 5pm - 10pm and Saturday noon - 10pm (Sunday is seasonal).
