The Conkling Center Inc. offers senior directed programs and services for community members 55+. We collaborate with individuals and organizations in offering our programs and services to the community.
On The Go Transportation
The Conkling Center provides door-to-door accessible transportation to community members 55+ for medical and rehabilitation appointments, banks, grocery stores, hairdressers, restaurants and various other destinations within a 20-mile radius of the City of Glens Falls.
Programs and Events
The Conkling Center also offers a variety of programs at our 79 Warren Street location, off-site locations and via Zoom. Programs are designed and developed to cover senior related topics in the areas of Community Awareness, Health and Safety, Legal, Educational and Inter-Generational.
We collaborate with local presenters, organizations and local school districts to bring programs of interest to you. Programs offered include:
- Diabetes & Lifestyle
- Gentle Yoga
- Controlling Stress
- Alzheimer’s
Along with presentations on current events, historical topics of interest, inter-generational activities and legal related topics.
Monthly programs are advertised the third Thursday of the month in the Chronicle, on our website and Facebook Page.
Events
The Conkling Center holds yearly events such as their Legal Summit, Veteran’s Breakfast and fundraising events. These events offer opportunities for education, recognizing our veterans and raising funds that keep our programs and services operational.
