Feeder Canal is one of the vital sections of New York State's historic waterways.

The canal was originally established in the 19th century as a wish to bring the water of the Hudson River to Lake Champlain. When visiting this park, there is lots of history to discover, such as how the canal helped develop northern New York. Today the 9-mile park trail is a great place for canoeing, biking, walking, and site-seeing of the Glens Falls region. Parking is available along the canal, on Richardson Street near the Feeder Dam gates, Bush Street or Martindale Avenue. There is access for launching canoes at the Moore Memorial Bridge at Feeder Dam in Queensbury, Shermantown Road in Glens Falls, or Martindale Avenue in Hudson Falls.
