The Adirondack Phantoms hockey team plays home games at the Glens Falls Civic Center, and is the AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. Formerly the Philadelphia Phantoms, the team was sold to the Brooks Sports Group and relocated to Glens Falls in 2009. The team started its inaugural season on October 3, 2009 in front of a sell-out crowd of 5,411 fans.
