Adirondack Theatre Festival (ATF), under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Mark Fleischer, General Manager Tracy Long, and Board of Trustees President Kathy Reed, has announced its 2012 Summer Season. The company’s 18th festival of professional theatre will include five different theatrical events all held at The Charles R. Wood Theater, 207 Glen Street in Glens Falls. Season tickets go on sale May 15 ($65 – $95). Tickets to individual shows on sale June 1 ($25 – $40). For more information visit ATFestival.org or call the box office at (518) 874-0800.
According to Fleischer, ATF’s goal is to provide theatre that moves beyond entertainment and sparks a conversation. “This collection of contemporary and new works promises music, laughter, and thought-provoking evenings in the theatre.” For five weeks, the heart of Glens Falls will be alive with theatre patrons taking advantage of the professional productions that have become the hallmark of this region’s leading summer theatre.
Founded in 1995, each summer ATF produces a season of theatre for an audience of both locals and tourists using professional artists from New York City and across the country. ATF operates under a Small Professional Theatre Agreement with Actors’ Equity Association. ATF is the only professional summer theatre in the Capital District, Saratoga and Adirondack regions of upstate New York solely committed to producing new and contemporary works of theatre.
