Saratoga News & Events

Hudson Falls, named after the river which runs through the village, which takes its name from the famous explorer Henry Hudson, is a quiet and cozy New York village in Washington County, sitting comfortably at the foothills of the Adirondacks.

However, before it received its current name, the Hudson Falls area formerly went by a few other names, including 'Sandy Hill' at one time.

Nowadays, Hudson Falls is part of one of New York's fastest growing counties, yet maintains its strong historical roots and natural beauty. Visitors and residents alike enjoy the nearby Champlain Canal historic route and the several nearby parks and museums.

Despite the myriad of enjoyments which would recommend Hudson Falls to any traveler, the town remains modest about its accomplishments and treasures.
